Strip of crossed stitches network

Instructions:

Strip of the smallest network from stitches crossed in RS as like as in WS rows.
It looks very impressive in diamonds or in central strips.
For this strip cast on 12 + (6 + 6) sts for side edges with small cables.
In the chart there are desplayed both RS + WS rows.
(The symbols in even numbered rows display stitches as you see them on the right side. So they need to be worked by opposite way.)
Vertically repeat rows 1 to 6.

     K1 = Knit 1 stitch  (videohelp), purl in WS
     P1 = Purl 1 stitch  (videohelp), knit in WS
   C1L (Make a left slanting cable 1k st over 1k st)
   C1R (Make a right slanting cable 1k st over 1k st)
   Cross 2 sts to the left – 1k st over 1p st  (Slip 1 stitch to the cable needle, let it in front of work, purl next stitch and then knit the 1 stitch from cable needle).
   Cross 2 sts to the right – 1k st over 1p st  (Slip 1 stitch to the cable needle, let it back of work, knit next 1 stitch and then purl the stitch from cable needle).
   Cross 2 sts to the left – 1p st over 1p st  (Slip 1 stitch to the cable needle, let it in front of work, purl next stitch and then purl the 1 stitch from cable needle).
  Cross 2 sts to the right – 1p st over 1p st  (Slip 1 stitch to the cable needle, let it back of work, purl next 1 stitch and then purl the stitch from cable needle).
