Cabled central strip
According to russian original of Узор 1
Instructions:
The motive for a central strip over 32 stitches.
For this strip cast on 32 + 3 + 3 (+ 2 sts for side edges). the 3 and 3 sts on sides purl in RS, knit in WS for good look.
In the chart there are only RS desplayed.
Work all stitches in WS as you see them (i.e. knit knitted sts and purl purled sts)
Vertically repeat rows 1 to 36

Cross 3 sts to the right – 2k sts over 1k st
Cross 3 sts to the left – 2k sts over 1p st

C2R (Make a right slanting cable 2k sts over 2k sts)
C2L (Make a left slanting cable 2k sts over 2k sts)
