Lace stitch
Description:
Cast on multiple of 8 + 1 sts.
Only RS rows are displayed in the chart.
In WS rows work all stitches as you see them.
Horizontally repeat the sequence between arrows.
Vertically repeat rows 1 to 12.

K1 = Knit 1 stitch (videohelp), purl in WS
P1 = Purl 1 stitch (videohelp), knit in WS
M1, P in WS = Pick up a stitch from the horizontal strand between needles (videohelp),
purl in WS ( – or you can use YO as well)
CDD – centered double decrease. sl2 tog, K1, pass the slipped stitches over (videohelp)
SSK = slip, slip, knit slipped stitches tog. A decrease (videohelp)
K2tog = Knit 2 sts together (videohelp)
Instructions how to follow the graphic chart:
Start your work by following symbols of row no. 1 from right side and to the left. First work out the stitches before the right arrow, then repeat the sequence of symbols between arrows, finish the row by following symbols after the left arrow. Follow rows from bottom to top.
WS rows are not displayed in the chart. Work all the WS stitches as you see them (i.e. knit knitted sts, purl purled sts) Purl new made stitches.
Vertically repeat row 1 to row 10.
