Eyelet stitch with simple vertical strips
Number of stitches: multiple of 6 (+2 edge sts).
Only RS rows are displayed in the chart.
In WS rows work each stitch as you see it
(i.e. knit knitted stitches, purl purled sts), purl new stitches.
Horizontally repeat the complete sequence of symbols.
Vertically repeat rows 1 to 4.
Symbols in the chart:
K1 = Knit 1 stitch (videohelp)
P1 = Purl 1 stitch (videohelp), knit in WS
M1, P in WS = Pick up a stitch from the horizontal strand between needles (videhelp)
SSK = slip, slip, knit slipped stitches tog. A decrease (videohelp)
K2tog = Knit 2 sts together (videohelp)
Instruction how to follow the graphic chart:
Follow the stitch symbols in the chart from the right to the left
and the rows from the bottom to the top. Start your work by an edge stitch, then follow symbols of row no. 1 (from the right). Continue by repeating the complete sequence of stitch symbols (6 symbols) to the end of the row. Finish the row by 1 edge stitch. (The edge sts are not displayed neither counted in the chart.)
Row no. 2 is not displayed in the chart (like other WS rows).
Work all the WS stitches as you see them (i.e. knit knitted sts, purl purled sts).
